We're bringing the I/O experience to Kuala Lumpur and help the professional and student developers deep dive in the new technologies.

The Google I/O Extended Kuala Lumpur is a full day event of workshops and talks centered around the technologies announced during Google I/O 2015. You will be joined by a team of Google Developer Advocates and Google Developer Experts talking and sharing with you insights and technical details on the latest Android M, Android development, Polymer, Virtual Reality and many more!

Frequently asked questions

Can I attend this event?

Yes, you can. You can be either a someone who is just getting started in software development, or who has experienced and wants to expand your horizon by learning new technologies. If you're a student, we want you to come! If you're a budding entrepreneur, we want you to come too! The big takeaway is you'll able to learn and talk with like minded people from the community attending this event.

Do you provide transportation?

We are not providing any transportation to the venue. You can take the bus or Uber or MyTeksi to Cyberjaya with the address provided. If you plan to take the bus, you can stop at the main Cyberjaya bus station. You can also take the ERL from KL Sentral and alight at the Putrajaya/Cyberjaya station. From there, there's plenty of buses that pass thru MaGIC.

Why do you charge for the workshops?

In the past, we conducted workshops at our events for free. However, we learned that a lot of attendees did not attend the workshops and we're left with empty seats, which we could not get new participants to fill in. Because the seats are limited due to space constraints, we wanted to make sure that this learning opportunity is taken up by those who are serious about learning new technologies.

Is the plenary sessions free?

Yes, the plenary session at the auditorium is free for those who registered and received their tickets.

Do you give swags?

Yes, swags will be given away only to those who registered and attended this event. Swags is only given to participants who registered for a ticket. Walk-in participants will not be given swags.

Do I need to bring my own laptop for the workshops?

Yes, please bring your own laptop for the workshops. This is strictly a BYOD workshop. That's "Bring Your Own Device". We are not able to provide any computers for you to use during the workshops. For workshop participants, you will receive an email to help you prepare for the workshops.

How many tickets can I register for?

You can only register for 1 (ONE) ticket per person for the plenary or any of the workshops. Any participants who is found to be purchasing/registering 1 (ONE) ticket for multiple people will be asked to register manually at the event registration desk. Workshop tickets is strictly for 1 (ONE) person only. Any duplicates will not be allowed to participate.

Do you serve lunch / dinner?

Yes, we do. Since the event is in the fasting month, we will only distribute lunch to the non-Muslim attendees. For Muslim attendees, we will provide them with a food pack at the end of the event for breaking fast. Food is only given to participants who registered for a ticket. Walk-in participants will not be given food.
